Certain words and statements can mean different things – one that is the actual definition and one that is the accepted definition. Like how parents think ‘2 hours before departure’ means arriving at 11 am for a 6 pm flight. 

Now, there is an Instagram account called HipDict which serves unusual but socially acceptable, crowdsourced definitions of common English words. And, as its 2.5 million followers prove, these definitely are relatable AF: 

It even includes ‘new words’ that have not been accepted by official dictionaries, but that sure as hell make a lot of sense for us millennials:
