10 Indian Cities Feature On List Of 15 Hottest Places In The World As Severe Heatwave Grips India

A severe heatwave has gripped the northern and western parts of the country over the past few days. 

With several places recording temperatures above 45 degrees celsius, 10 Indian cities figured on the list of 15 hottest places in the world on Sunday, 2nd June.

According to a report by NDTV, the highest temperature was recorded in Rajasthan’s Churu district where mercury shot up to 50 degrees celsius on Sunday.

Ganganagar, Bikaner, Jaisalmer and Kota followed closely.

Earlier a ‘red code‘ warning was issued for Delhi NCR by the weather department.

According to the latest updates by the Indian Meteorological Department, the conditions are likely to get better in a few days. 

IMD has also suggested that people stay indoors to save themselves from the severe heatwave.
