Earlier this evening, Senior Congress leader and former Union Minister — P Chidambaram was arrested by the CBI for the INX media scam case.
According to News 18, he was arrested from his Jor Bagh residence after he made a dramatic appearance in the All India Congress Committee’s headquarters.
Minutes after his appearance, teams from both CBI and the Enforcement Directorate were all set to arrest him. In fact, the CBI officials scaled the walls of his house to gain access.
According to Business Standard, Chidambaram’s son — Karti, allegedly misused his father’s power to influence approval for foreign investment of Rs 305 crore for INX Media in 2007.
