Human skeletal remains have been found behind the compound of Sri Krishna Medical College & Hospital in Muzaffarpur, where more than 100 children died due to Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES), earlier this week.

Talking to ANI, SKMCH Medical Superintendent SK Shahi said that the skeletal remains could have been disposed off by the post-mortem department of the hospital.

“Post-mortem department is under the principal but it should be done with a humane approach. I’ll talk to the principal and ask him to constitute an investigating committee.”

At a time when the hospital is already under criticism for over 100 deaths, this is yet another shocking revelation about the state of public hospitals in our country.
