Recently, an 11-year-old shot an eight-year-old girl in his neighbourhood for not letting him see her puppy , another similar incident raises serious concerns about America’s gun culture. A six-year-old boy accidentally shot his three-year-old brother in the head while playing cops and robbers.

While the grandfather told CLTV that, “he was a beautiful kid. It’s real crazy,” the father Micheal Santiago was booked for child endangerment, and is being held on a $75000 bond.

The name of the 6-year-old has not been revealed, as Santiago claimed that he had purchased the weapon for protection from members of a gang called Spanish Cobras, which he was previously associated with. He showed the gun to his son saying it was only for adults.

The rising gun culture in the US coupled with such extreme negligence can have dire consequences for the country’s children as well.
