Not A Morning Person: Abhijit Banerjee Went Right Back To Sleep After Hearing He Won The Nobel Prize

Winning the Nobel Prize is no easy feat. And people have all types of reactions when they hear the news. 

But when Abhijit Banerjee won the Nobel Prize for Economics, the first thing he did, was go back to sleep, because he’s not an ‘early morning person’. 

It was very early in the morning. I’m not an early morning person. I figured it would be an assault to the system if I don’t continue my sleep.

Banerjee, who shared the award with his wife Esther Duflo and with Michael Kremer is an alumnus of Presidency College in Kolkata, Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru University and Harvard.

Finally, there is good enough reason for sleeping in that Indian parents might just approve of.
