After Rahul Bose called out JW Marriot, in a viral video for exorbitantly charging him Rs 442 for two bananas, Taj has made a generous gesture to offer a complimentary fruit basket to their guests.
While JW Marriot is facing major unexpected backlash in wave of memes from the Netizens, a new tweet surfaced on Friday which revealed that Taj was offering complimentary fruits to all their guests.
A guest residing in Taj Santacruz tweeted a picture of the note with the caption, “Meanwhile, in the land of trolling JW Marriott….”

Back in Chandigarh,the Excise and Taxation Department is now probing in the controversy around the overpriced bananas. The department is looking for levying of taxes on a tax-free item.
