It stars the talented Nimrat Kaur—who has previously received a lot of accolades for her power-packed performances in The Lunchbox and Airlift—in the role of the only woman in one of the most elite combat forces of the Indian Army. 

There have been a colossal number of discussions on whether women are suited for combat roles in the armed forces and the trailer portrays those discussions in the beginning. What really draws one to the show is its magnificent and sharp-looking direction by none other than Nagesh Kukunoor.

This movie challenges the pre-empted notion that pronounces women unfit for combat. It also throws light on issues such as blatant sexism and gender discrimination in the Army and other defence forces. 

It also features Juhi Chawla, who plays the Minister of Defense, Atul Kulkarni, who plays the character of strict commandant and Rahul Dev, who stands out in the role of sadistic subedar. 

The release date of the series is 25 April, 2017 on ALTBalaji.
