There are many students and parents, especially Indian parents, that make the mistake of thinking the result of an examination determines the child’s fate. Case in point, yours truly couldn’t manage to score more than a meager 54% in 10th grade, and I didn’t turn out a half bad adult. That said, when I was (not) preparing for my boards, my parents, like most other parents withdrew many privileges including phone, Internet and frequent outings.

It’s quite sad how even though parents mean nothing but good, they sometimes don’t realize the kind of pressure they wind up putting kids through in an effort to secure their future. So, when Mirinda launched their campaign, “Release the pressure”, asking parents to go easy on their kids during exam season, we couldn’t help but get thoroughly behind them.

And, in case, you’re unaware, the campaign was trending on Twitter and has even gotten the attention of many prominent names, including…

Virender Sehwag

Malaika Arora Khan

Rana Daggubati

Gotta say the campaign couldn’t be more on point in light of it being dead in the center of exam season. And if you agree, we urge you to take the pledge by clicking here or giving a missed call to 8866288662.
