The Bombay High Court came down hard on the BCCI and asked it to shift all IPL 9 matches out of Maharashtra, starting 30 April. That means a total of 13 matches will have to be played out of the state due to the acute drought in the Marathwada region.
A total of 19 matches were scheduled in Mumbai, Pune and Nagpur, including the opener (already played) and the final on 29 May at the Wankhede.
Reports also suggest that Pune Supergiants and Mumbai Indians will donate Rs 5 crore to the Chief Minister's relief fund.
