This is turning out to be quite a year for movies in Hollywood. On one hand, we had Deadpool, the savior of the world from bad comic book adaptations. And on the other hand, Batman Vs Superman did a great job for one-dimensional story lines.
However, fortunately for us, the rest of year is studded with prospective must-watch movies. And honestly, some of these movies have had us waiting for years now. So before the tone of this article turns into fanboying, let’s get to the point already!
Here are 25 Hollywood movies we can’t wait to watch in 2016:
1. Captain America: Civil War
Starting with the obvious one; it’s getting ridiculously difficult to wait for this movie. After a long wait, Captain America: Civil War finally brings Captain America face to face with his frenemy, Iron Man. With Spiderman also making a surprise cameo in the latest trailer, our expectations just escalated to the absolute roof of expectations.

2. Suicide Squad
Unless you live under a rock or work in Marvel, you’ll be massively excited about this absolute-carnage-of-all-good-things movie. The 3-minute trailer has fetched more anticipation than the entire run-time of Batman Vs Superman. Now unless you want to get yelled at by a bunch of nerds, better watch the trailer right now.

3. Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them
JK Rowling continues to cast spells on muggles of the world by writing another book on the wizarding world we grew up (read: in) reading .The latest film addition to JK Rowling’s world of witchcraft and wizardry is Fantastic Beasts and Where To find Them and there’s no way we can keep our wands hidden anymore. (No pun intended!)

4. Finding Dory
13 years since Nemo was found, Pixar is back with the next underwater adventure in the lives of our favorite fish. The generation that watched the first edition as kids plans on embracing the child in them as they flock to theaters with their children to watch the next episode.

5. X Men: Apocalypse
Magneto and Charles Xavier confront the immortal Apocalypse in this latest X Men movie. This movie is important because this could very well be the last X Men movie Jennifer Lawrence stars in as she only had a 3 movie deal with the studio.

6. Star Trek Beyond
The current reboot of the Star Trek saga has proven to be just as awesome and humorous as the originals were. While fans of the originals continue to stick with their choice, the trailer for Star Trek Beyond is one of the best movie trailers to have come out this year. We have all the reason to be excited for the movie now.

The all kinds of awesome first film in the series has raised the bar so up high, there’s very little we can do to hold our excitement for the second one. Magicians, The Four Horsemen and a very very clever twist in the end; all of this makes for a praiseworthy movie franchise. Let’s see how the second one holds up.

8. Inferno
Robert Langdon can’t seem to be good at avoiding danger. The next installment in Ron Howard’s Dan Brown adaptations, Inferno is important for a million reasons. The first of them being Tom Hanks sharing screen space with India’s gem, Irrfan Khan.

Former CIA employee, Edward Snowden first came into limelight when he declassified documents that exposed the CIA’s global surveillance programs. Snowden is now going to be the subject of the next Oliver Stone movie that features Joseph Gordon-Levitt in the lead role.

16. Nine Lives

Kevin Spacey, however, takes things one step further by becoming a cat in Nine Lives. We had our doubts when we first heard about it. That was until we saw the trailer.
