Harvard-trained physician Dr. Andrew Weil devised a 4-7-8 technique for people who struggle to sleep. He calls it a 'natural tranquilizer for the nervous system'.

All you've to do is breathe in for four seconds, hold for seven, breathe out for eight, and repeat. Do 4 sets of this technique and you will feel sleepy.

Dr. Andrew Weil told The Telegraph,

"You have to do this two times a day religiously. It will become a wonderful way to help you fall asleep. You can do it more often throughout the day. It is utterly simple, takes almost no time, requires no equipment and can be done anywhere. After about four to six weeks you will see wonderful changes in your body."

Forget eye masks, ear plugs and sleeping pills and try this breathing exercise. It will help you calm down your body and mind and will also help you control anger by lowering stress levels.
