If Bollywood ever needs a voice of righteousness, there’s no one better than Akshay Kumar. Prompt and upfront about all social and political issues, his opinion has been hailed as that of the masses on more than one occasion.

Akshay has time and again proved more than just a man of words. From helping stranded Indians in Juba to extending support to the families of Uri martyrs, he is the real-life hero we all look up to.

Recently Twitter user Sanyog Shrivastava reached out to Akshay, asking for help. Here’s what he said:

Ravi Shrivastava, a well known producer and publicity designer came to Akshay’s rescue during his struggle period. He signed Akshay for a film called Dwarpaal in 1991, which never saw the light of the day. Later in 1992, it was Shrivastava who helped Akshay bag his debut role in Saugandh.

According to a report in Amar Ujala, the producer is suffering from an intense case of kidney failure and his financial conditions are unable to fund the treatment.

Akshay took notice and responded to the concerned tweet:

He’s proved how he still hasn’t forgotten those who helped him in his initial years in Bollywood.

You have managed to impress us yet again, Mr. Kumar.
