Delhi’s pollution reached its highest level in the last seven days on Saturday, according to an NDTV report. This despite Sunday being Diwali.

Earlier it was reported that the smog that New Delhi is covered by was the worst in the last 17 years. The city’s overall air quality remained ‘severe’ for most of the days this week.

The pollution levels on Saturday were contrary to the forecast by air quality monitoring department SAFAR which had said that air quality was likely to improve slowly from November 2.
