The central government might have sparked a nation-wide rush to banks after it banned Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes. It also announced the creation of new Rs 500 and Rs 2000 notes with new security features that will be disbursed to people.
It now turns out the government plans to issue new Rs 1000 notes again too.
Economic Affairs Secretary Shaktikanta Das today said that all currency notes, including the Rs 1000 notes will be brought back again. But with new security features.
