24th April. The one cricket birthday that no Indian fan will forget. Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar turned 43 on Sunday and the twitter-verse was overflowing with wishes for the Master Blaster.

It’s been 18 years since that memorable night in Sharjah where Tendulkar made sure his birthday will remain a part of Indian cricketing folklore as he made back-to-back centuries against Australia.

Players, current and former, sent in their wishes, starting with none other than Virat Kohli.

Fans, were as always, fondly remembering some of Sachin’s greatest moments on the cricket field and #HappyBirthdaySachin was trending as early as midnight.

A fan account on Facebook perhaps came up with the most moving of tributes — chronicling all of Sachin’s 100 100s with his memorable farewell speech in the background.
