So, Harry Potter And The Cursed Child has been out in the world for a day. Obviously, we've all grabbed our copies by now. We've given up on work, family, friends & life altogether, and are only curled up in our beds reading the book. Our parents still don't understand our love and obsession about this series. Because they still ask, "After all this while?" And like true Potterheads, we still reply, "Always!"

By now, you all must know what our favourite wizard and his friends have been up to ever since the Battle of Hogwarts. And for those of you poor souls who still haven't got their copies of the eighth book (Seriously, what are you waiting for?), this article will not make you happy at all.

Here are 10 things we discovered about Harry Potter from the eighth book:

1. The story starts from where Deathly Hallows left.

It has been 19 years since the Battle of Hogwarts. Harry, Ginny, Ron and Hermione have just bid bye to their kids - James, Albus and Rose at Platform Nine & Three Quarters.

2. Harry is now the Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement at the Ministry of Magic.

Yes, we all thought that Harry would be an Auror. Though, initially, this came as a disappointment to us, but then we trust Queen Rowling to do the right thing, don't we? He is closely working with Hermione, the new Minister for Magic (Yay!), who keeps scolding him to keep his paperwork updated. Just like old times, eh!

3. Harry's scar still hurts.

It has been 19 years since the death of Voldemort. Harry killed him and we all witnessed the epic incident. But then why does his scar still hurt? Well, we'll be good to you and not reveal the reason.

4. And that's because of Voldemort and Bellatrix's daughter, Delphi, who is trying to bring back her father!

Yes, you heard us right! VOLDEMORT AND BELLATRIX'S DAUGHTER. The actual villain in the Albus and Scorpius' lives. There's going to be some Time Turner action (it's been revealed that not all Time Turners were destroyed in the Order of the Phoenix), and a repeat of the James and Lily's murder scene.

5. Harry and Albus aren't the model father-son duo we thought they'd be.

Harry lost his parents very early on in life, because of which he doesn't really know what parenting is all about. He's inexperienced that way. Add to that the fact that there is no father-figure left in his life to guide him. And because of this, Harry does not connect with Albus, an introvert, that well. We see Harry as an impatient person throughout this play - something that we don't appreciate.

6. Albus is not in Gryffindor.

Unlike Harry, Albus is sorted into Slytherin. One of his biggest fears come true. But Harry assures him that it's an honour to be a Slytherin. Remember when Harry told him that Snape was "Probably the bravest man I ever knew?"

7. Though the father and son do have something in common - their tendency to get in trouble.

Like Harry, Albus too keeps getting into trouble for one thing or the other at Hogwarts. Also, Albus and Scorpius (Draco's son) are really good friends. But you'll be happy to know that Scorpius is nothing like Draco was in his teen years. Draco's definitely brought up his son well!

8. If there's one thing Harry has taught Albus, it's the importance of friends.

Just like Harry, Ron and Hermione's everlasting bond, Albus and Scorpius share a similar friendship. Albus has been shown to be a loyal friend to Scorpius, something that is tested at different stages of the play. Are Albus and Scorpius the new-age Harry and Ron?

9. Ron and Harry are still as thick as thieves.

Ron is the same loyal and kind-hearted person that he was as a teenager. And he and Harry are still best friends, just like old times. And Ron's comic side is still very much present, which can be made out from the scene where he tells Harry, "Your scar could be hurting because you're getting old." *Weasley is our King*

10. As an adult, Harry has a heightened aggression, which is the result of a survivor's guilt.

Harry was never a happy-go-lucky kid, and we have come to terms with that. But as he's matured into an adult, his anger has heightened too. Blame it on his survivor's guilt, which is affecting his relationships, especially with his family.

11. The Harry of Cursed Child has the same qualities as the one from the seven books.

He is moody, he is angry and he might not be the best dad in the world, but he accepts his shortcomings and turns to his friends and family for guidance and help. And that's the Harry we all love!
