While it was the third time for Sonam to have graced the couch, Kareena has earlier made appearances with co-star Rani Mukherjee, ex-boyfriend Shahid Kapoor, and husband Saif Ali Khan. 

With friends coming together this time on the couch, the episode had a lot of expectations in terms of revelations. However, the excitement turned into disappointment when Kareena kept her ‘janani‘ side on display just as Karan pointed out. He asked her to stop being a ‘Janani from Greater Kailash’

For almost 10 minutes, Sonam was busy giving answers on behalf of Kareena and it was Karan who had to ask her to stop being the latter’s spokesperson. 

Saying that ‘I don’t plan things in advance, I just go with a flow’ and ‘I always date a businessman from London’, the duo slyly escaped answering questions about their personal lives, specifically those related to Taimur and Anand Ahuja. 

The episode centered around discussing Saif Ali Khan, Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra.

Here are the highlights in case you missed the not so-exciting episode:   

1) ‘There is no one like Saif Ali Khan”

This isn’t us saying it but the words of his begum Kareena Kapoor Khan. While Sonam expressed her love for Saif on the couch, his wife feels that there is no one in the industry from the current generation who can match up to her husband’s deadly combination of mental and physical appeal. Kareena said that Saif was the last in his era to have that stimulating combination. 

2) “We are just friends”

We were all ears when Sonam Kapoor, while refusing to talk about her personal life, revealed how Kareena’s sister, Karisma Kapoor, tries to hook her up with her cousin Ranbir Kapoor. However, within a few seconds, the actress made it very clear that they are just good friends and nothing will ever brew between the two of them. 

3) “Hollywood is not for me”

Even though she’s passionate about her career and films, Kareena says that she would not have the same courage and dedication as Priyanka Chopra has to step into Hollywood. Both Kareena and Sonam believe that Priyanka is extremely talented and making India proud.

 4) Ajun Kapoor only excites the guests

As if all this was not enough, Karan Johar invited the not-so-unexpected Arjun Kapoor to this episode as well. Calling Arjun for deciding who wins the hamper has become so repetitive in this season that it doesn’t excite us anymore. The couch saw “The Kapoors” taking over the show for a few minutes as the trio couldn’t stop gushing about each other. 

5) Not-so-rapid-fire round

Even though Sonam’s non-relevant answer of turning into a vegetarian after Neerja and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo made us laugh, her performance was utterly boring with her long ‘speech’ on every question. So it was no surprise that Kareena won this round with her blunt, yet witty, answers. 

 And, yes. There was no Koffee Quiz this time, the only change we could see.
