Residents of Mumbai since last Thursday are increasingly facing breathing difficulties and serious health problems after a fire at the Deonar dumping ground created a thick blanket of smog.

The Maharashtra government will be holding a meeting soon with all those concerned as villagers around the proposed landfill site located in Taloja, Navi Mumbai have opposed the shifting of the site there.
