Outgoing US President Barack Obama has brushed off worries that Republican candidate Donald Trump will become the most powerful man in the world.

And he did it with a calm assured demeanour that only Obama can manage to pull off. He also firmly put the ball in the court of the 'American people' by saying: "I continue to believe Mr Trump will not be President and the reason is I have a lot of faith in American people."

"I think they recognize that being president is a serious job and it's not hosting a talk show or a reality show," he added.
