Looks like it's time for us to stop addressing Shilpa Shinde as Angoori bhabhi. The actress became a household name with her acing the character of Angoori Bhabhi in popular TV show, Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain. She continues to make headlines ever since she voluntarily walked out of the show but the spat between her and the producers has only got uglier by the day. Recently, CINTAA (Cine & Television Artistes' Association) banned her from television and apparently, no broadcaster or producer will be allowed to work with her.
But as per this report in HT, Shilpa has now filed a police complaint against CINTAA for banning her.
Shilpa spoke to SpotboyE and said, "It is sad that producers are ganging up against me."
She has clearly said that she won't return on the show and the makers can't find a replacement for her. Meanwhile, the makers are planning to cast a different actress as Angoori.
She even said, "Who is Amit Behl, (Chairperson Disputes Commiteee, CINTAA) to ban me? I think that the show is going down on ratings. I will openly say that I made this show."
"Right now, I am not really interested in the kind of content which is being made for TV," she added.
After their initial spat, CINTAA intervened to resolve the differences between Shilpa and the producer, Benaifer Kohli. But things went further down South when Shilpa didn't show up on the sets even after CINTAA issued a directive.
