Mithali Raj made 71. India made 281 and beat England Women by 35 runs in the 2017 ICC Women's World Cup opener. The second highest run-getter in women's ODIs, the Indian skipper broke two world records on her way to the match-winning fifty. 

We take a look at the key stats and numbers from Mithali's ODI career. 

7 - The fifty against England was Mithali's seventh consecutive fifty in ODI cricket - a world record. Her previous six scores are 70*, 64, 73*, 51*, 54 and 62*. She broke the record of six consecutive fifties jointly held by three players, Lindsay Reeler, Charlotte Edwards and Ellyse Perry. In all ODIs, Javed Miandad holds the record of most consecutive fifties, he scored seven of them on the trot. 

47 - Mithali now has 47 fifties to her name in ODIs - a world record for a women cricketer. She broke the record of England’s Charlotte Edwards, who had 46 fifties.

141 - Mithali needs 141 more runs to become the highest run-getter in history of women's ODI cricket. Edwards currently leads the table with 5992 runs, while the Indian batter has 5852 runs to her name.

2 - The Indian skipper is only the second women's cricketer to score over 5000 ODI runs and could soon become the first cricketer to cross the 6000-run mark in women's cricket. 

52.25 - Her batting average in ODIs - highest among cricketers who have played over 100 ODIs. 

114 - Mithali scored an unbeaten 114 on her ODI debut against Ireland in 1999. Only 16 then, she became the youngest player ever to score a hundred on ODI debut.
