Actress Deepika Padukone has officially become the new global brand ambassador of L’Oréal Paris after striking an international endorsement deal with the cosmetic giant. She will be the new Indian face for one of its beauty and skin care product.

Her stylist, Shaleena Nathani, and hairstylist, Gabriel Georgiou, took to Instagram to announce the news.

After Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, Freida Pinto and Katrina Kaif, Deepika is the fifth Indian to join the list of spokespersons of global beauty brand L’Oréal Paris.

Speaking to Vogue, Deepika said “I’ve always believed that feeling beautiful begins with feeling confident about yourself and L’Oréal Paris with its powerful message ‘Because we’re worth it’ has always encouraged women to do that. It is an absolute privilege to be joining the L’Oréal Paris family and the league of extraordinary women associated with this iconic brand.”

Recently, while speaking at the red carpet event of HT Style Awards in Mumbai, the Padmavati actress denied reports of  her walking the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival 2017. 

“No. I will not be walking the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival. Right now all my energies are focused on ‘Padmavati,” said Deepika. 

The 31-year-old actress, who made her Hollywood debut in xXx: Return of Xander Cage opposite Vin Disel, won the Most Stylish Global Icon award at the event.
