We all make mistakes but many times, we end up saying sorry for things that we don’t even owe an apology for. Life gets too difficult if you’re apologetic about everything, and it does no good to your self respect. It also leads to people taking your apology for granted, however heartfelt it might be.

There are also times when we intend to say something else but for the lack of a better reaction, end up saying sorry. To let go of this guilt-factor, Yao Xiao, a Chinese artist based in New York, created some illustrations that show a different perspective to apologising.

So, cut yourself some slack and learn a different way of responding to the situations when your instant reaction would be to say sorry. Here, take a look.

Better be thankful than sorry!
