People who have looked up to Zara to fill their wardrobes with fashionable wear are in for a rude shock. The Spanish apparel brand has been accused of copying illustrations of an Indie artist, Tuesday Bassen, without crediting her for the same. The news has disappointed fashionistas worldwide.

This is not the first time that the fashion brand has taken ‘inspiration’ without crediting the artist. Time and again, they have blatantly copied work from designers. As many as 12 artists have accused the brand of copying their designs with LA based desinger, Tuesday, being the latest victim.

I’m here! We made it to #sdcc and I’m sharing booth #5641 with @gemmacorrell ❤️

Tuesday took to Instagram to report the incident claiming that Zara has been copying her designs previously too, and it is now that she has decided to finally raise her voice against the incident.

This is what she said on Twitter:

But Zara did not accept their mistake and rejected her claims because she apparently, does not matter! This is what they said:

We reject your claims here for reasons similar to those already stated above: the lack of distinctiveness of your client’s purported designs makes it very hard to see how a significant part of the population anywhere in the world would associate the signs with Tuesday Bassen.

Bassen has been receiving support from people across the world for her work on social networking platforms.

Adam J. Kurtz has been another victim of Zara’s mischief.

It’s sad how fashion stalwarts like Zara are making thousands on account of talented artists who don’t even get paid for their creations.

Not cool, Zara. Not cool.
