In a dramatic turn of events, Shaimaa Selim, the sister of the world’s heaviest woman, Eman Ahmed, has accused the surgeon and the hospital who treated her sister, of “lying” about Ahmed’s weight loss and recovery.

On April 14, Selim uploaded a video featuring Eman and herself wherein she is seen accusing Dr. Lakdawala of lying about Eman’s weight loss. “Everything is a lie. Eman has not lost 240 kg or 260 kg. Eman is in a critical condition since one-and-a-half months,” she claims.

She also claimed that Eman is highly sick and has been on medications for more than one-and-a-half months and accused Dr. Muffazal Lakdawala and the Saifee Hospital of just creating a propaganda in the media, saying her health is destroyed.

She has also said that her sister has not been treated for thrombosis and said that the hospital had falsely promised of providing her with a facility to escort her to the toilet.

Dr. Muffazal Lakdawala hit out at Selim, claiming that she wanted to defame the hospital as she is incapable of treating her sister back in Egypt, reports The Hindu

“It’s my worst nightmare. Not a single hospital or doctor was ready to treat Eman and now when she has lost so much weight, the family is raising questions on a consolidated humanitarian effort, which has saved her life,” Dr Lakdawala told Hindustan Times

The surgeon also said that the hospital has already treated Eman for obesity and that she is fit to be discharged from the hospital.
