Surprisingly, the attack took place at the same location where filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali was assaulted by a Rajput group while he was shooting for his upcoming film Padmavati.

A report filed by Mumbai Mirror quoted his elder brother, Manohar Verma as saying that Jeetu, who was sitting next to the driver while travelling through a forest in Chittorgarh, suffered injures to his eye after local residents started pelting stones at his car. 

The report says that close friend Suniel Shetty made all arrangements for the treatment of the injured actor. He made sure the actor was rushed to a Mumbai hospital from Udaipur after the incident, where he was operated upon. 

According to doctors, it is uncertain as to whether the actor would recover vision in his eye. 

While the police have assessed the vehicle and recovered the stones, the motive behind the attack still remains unclear. 

Verma, who’s best known for his work in Bobby Deol and Preity Zinta starrer Soldier, also runs a horse riding academy. 

Kangana Ranaut is one of the actresses who recently took lessons from him for her movie Rangoon.
