The thing about legends is that they deserve nothing but the best. So when Adele, a sensation that took over the world with her unique voice and music, chooses to sing a George Michael song as a tribute to the late singer, it deserves to be nothing less than note for note.
But when Adele faltered during her performance at the 2017 Grammy’s, she did what integrity would call on her to do. She stopped the performance midway, apologised, and started all over again because Michael deserves nothing less. She said,
I’m sorry it’s live T.V. I’m sorry I f***d it up, can we please start again?

The singer continued to apologise to the crowd saying,
I’m sorry for swearing, and I’m sorry for starting again. Can we please start it again? I’m sorry, I can’t mess this up for him.

The audience cheered as she owned it all up, and went on to give an amazing performance. Her rendition of the singer’s original track Fastlove, from his 1996 album Older, received a standing ovation at the end of her performance. Some lessons on going big or going home eh, folks?
