To be honest, movies based on video-games have a terrible history. Doesn’t matter how good the trailers look, the end result has always been disappointing. It’s a perennial blue-balls scenario for avid gamers who tend to pin all their hopes on a movie studio that buys rights for video game franchises but lacks the know-how to deliver a good movie that is not just faithful to its source material but also a decent enough watch for those who aren’t well-acquainted with the game.
Assassin’s Creed seems to have cracked the complex code (that is almost as good as understanding the working behind Animus btw). Even with all the odds stacked against it, we are ready for our leap of faith.
The movie stars Michael Fassbender as Aguilar de Nerha, a 15th century Spanish assassin, and his present day descendant Callum Lynch. The Spanish Inquisition is the setting where we’ll see the assassin wall run and jump assassinate a lot of Royal guards.

If the trailer is anything to go by, we are in for a ride which features parkour, multiple members of the Assassin’s Creed, some kickass action and a brilliant depiction of Spain during the Inquisition.
