According to reports, the actor plans to take a break starting November, and strike a balance between work and family.

All of last year and most of this year, I was shooting four back-to-back films. So this past one year was really tough. But now I am taking care of it, and I will strike a balance. I am taking time off from mid-November to be with my family.

Ayushmann’s last film Dream Girl was a commercial success, and he has two more films in the pipeline, Bala and Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan. He has also finished Gulaba Sitabo, directed by Shoojit Sircar, and starring Amitabh Bachchan.

I will soon have to get busy with the promotion of Bala even as I complete my work on Shubh Mangal Zyaada Saavdhan. I haven’t signed any film after Bala. After November 15, I am completely free to spend time with my family. I do realise my children are growing up and my wife needs time from me. I am making a conscious attempt to take time off work periodically.

He also shared that he is willing to miss out on projects because it is ‘imperative’ to take time off and ‘rejuvenate’.

As fans, we’d have loved to see more of his wonderful performances. But we hope this well-deserved break gives him the time to be with his family and return to movies with even greater roles and off-beat stories.
