Pop star Beyonce announced on Wednesday that she and her husband, rap artist and entrepreneur Jay Z, were expecting twins. And needless to say the news sent social media into a meltdown.
The announcement came with a photo of the “Crazy in Love” singer stripped down to her lingerie, caressing a noticeable baby bump, and wearing a veil over her head.
The speculations about her pregnancy were already doing the rounds on social media since October after her picture from a Halloween party went viral.

The singer didn’t spill out any details of her pregnancy as to when the twins are due. However, the news became the top trending item on Twitter with the most hilarious tweets.

The birth of the couple’s first baby, Blue Ivy, caused a paparazzi storm in 2012 with New York’s Lenox Hill hospital shutting down part of its maternity wing to accommodate music’s royal couple.
With good news coming her way soon, it remains unclear whether Beyonce, who has a leading nine nominations for her album Lemonade at the Grammy Awards, will still be gracing the event with her performance on February 10.
The singer is also scheduled to perform at the Coachella music festival in southern California in April.
