The fact that it is based on a Chetan Bhagat novel and most of us already know the story doesn't make the movie any less entertaining. The movie successfully captures the audience's interest till the very end. When Krish Malhotra and Ananya Swaminathan fall in love, little do they know that that's not enough for them to get married. They will have to make their parents like each other, too. Perfect for a movie night with your girls, watch it for the adorable Ananya Swaminathan and saada Punjabi munda Krish.

Uhu Uhu. How can we miss this one on the list. Prem and Nisha fall in love at their elder siblings' wedding, but life has other plans for them as Nisha's sister dies, leaving behind her baby. A romantic drama, Pardes very successfully bought a socially-relevant topic to the forefront. When the movie released, a lot of families fancied NRI husbands for their daughters. Sadly, the marriages didn't end up well and women were exploited in foreign shores. However, this otherwise meek and shy daughter Ganga played by Mahima Chaudhary would not tolerate any nonsense. Shah Rukh and Mahima end up falling in love. Subhash Ghai weaves magic into the story. Released way back in 1997, the movie's charm still stays. Watch it to take a ride down the nostalgia express.
