When you’re Chetan Bhagat, life doesn’t come easy to you. Neither does Twitter. After being trolled on Twitter all year long for just about everything, he probably anticipated some positivity on his birthday but wishful thinking.
With best intentions at heart, this is what Mr Bhagat tweeted:
Thank you all for your birthday wishes. Thanks for staying with me, through my highs and lows, brilliance and stupidity. Love you all!
— Chetan Bhagat (@chetan_bhagat) April 22, 2016
His fault? He used the words “me” and “brilliance” in the same sentence. Obviously Twitterverse wasn’t going to let this one go:
@chetan_bhagat Brilliance ? Are you serious ?

@chetan_bhagat Sir, highs & brilliance is your imagination. Except that, everything you mentioned is a fact

And then there were some cheeky ones!
@chetan_bhagat happy birthday 9 point someone… ( upgraded ) ..

Lesson: When life makes you Chetan, be Sharma not Bhagat!
