With season 7 coming to an end, all we are thinking about is the last and final season of Game of Thrones which unfortunately is 2 years away. 2019, why you so far away?
With umpteen characters on the show, each one better than the other, the show made sure we were eagerly waiting for the next episode to come. All GoT fans would agree, right?
Since our love for the show goes beyond the Wall (as they say it), all we’ve been doing is googling about all our favourite characters and trying to find out everything about them. But what if we give you all more reasons to be a part of GoT till next season comes out?
These 17 facts about Game of Thrones is for you to trip on if you have stopped discussing the last season already:
1. The late Peter Vaughan who played Maester Aemon Targaryen was partially blind in real life.
2. Greyscale is a lot like Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva, a middle-age disease where damaged soft tissues grows into bone on the outside of the body.
3. Jon Snow’s butt was not his butt (but of another man who looks like him) in the sex scene with Ygritte.
4. Inspired by HODOR, we have Hodor doorstops now.
5. Many adult movie stars were a part of the show.
6. Harvard University will offer an introductory course on GoT titled The Real Game Of Thrones: From model myths to medieval models.
7. Cersei’s walk of shame was based on a real-life incident. Jane Shore, a mistress of King Edward IV, was punished the same way after the king’s death.
8. In the books, Jon and Tyrion will supposedly fall in love with Arya. It has not been mentioned yet but George R.R. Martin has revealed to the publishers that it’s part of the plan.
9. The horse’s heart that Daenerys had to eat in Season 1 was essentially a giant gummy candy.
10. The actor who played Ramsay Bolton was very close to playing Jon Snow.
11. Oona Chaplin who played Robb Stark’s wife is Charlie Chaplin’s grand daughter.

15. There have been more than 1,50,966 deaths in GoT.
