It’s here. It’s finally here.

This month, the world will witness the culmination of two epic stories.

Stories that have held our attention for the better part of a decade.

This month, we will find out who will sit on the Iron Throne, or if there will even be an Iron Throne to sit on.

And later, we’ll see how (or if) the Avengers will defeat Thanos.

In either story, we’re preparing to lose people we’ve grown to love.

To lose the people we’ve seen grow before our eyes.

In more ways than one.

Remember back when Jaime was a bad guy?

Or even Loki for that matter. Rest in peace, sweet Asgardian Prince.

Remember when we thought an Avengers crossover film was beyond the realms of possibility.

We’ve watched people we didn’t trust turn into people we rooted for.

We’ve watched children turn into heroes.

We’ve watched as some stuck to their principles…

While others went back on theirs.

And then there were the betrayals.

There were friends.

There were allies.

There were brothers.

And even fathers.

In the midst of all this we’ve watched the unlikeliest groups of people come together for the greater good.

We’ve watched as our heroes fought, made up and fought again…

All while the big bad waited patiently for almost a decade before making their move.

And now, they’re here.

It’s been one hell of a journey.

Yes, all good things come to an end. And yes, there will be other TV shows and more Marvel movies.

But this month, will be the end of an era. An era that I’m grateful to have been part of.
