Padmaavat has become an unnecessary national phenomenon – with the release getting banned, fight for stays on the same ban and the actors getting their fair share of threats – and all this even before the movie has released.
So we wonder what is PM Modi’s take on being greeted by the apparently ‘controversial’ song Ghoomar when he visited Ahmedabad with Israel Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu.
The same song, that led to a group claiming to be Karni Sena destroy a school function and hurt innocent kids, was used at a cultural function organised to welcome Netanyahu, as per a report by India Today.
Twitter user Kirandeep posted a video of the performance, where a young girl is dancing to the beats of Ghoomar.
#Ghoomar song of @filmpadmaavat played and dance performed on it in #Ahmedabad. This program is to welcome PM @narendramodi & Isreal PM #Netanyahu. 👏👏👏 pic.twitter.com/layjWd0t5R

Let’s just treat this as a song and nothing more?
