The sixth season of Game of Thrones is over and we’ll have to wait another 10 months for the most acclaimed show to come back! The season finale was packed with great surprises in all story lines. King’s Landing was burning. Arya Stark was serving pies. Jon Snow became the new King in the North.

And the events that took place in the Tower of Joy during Robert’s Rebellion were finally revealed!

The episode implied that the baby that Lyanna Stark delivered was Jon Snow by first showing the face of the new born baby and then cutting to the face of grown up Jon. But the makers did not say it out loud.

While fans were rejoicing that R+L=J was finally proven, we never heard Rhaegar Targaryen’s name as the father.

But HBO has now confirmed Jon Snow’s parentage by releasing this infographic and this totally confirms all theories about Jon being half Stark and half Targaryen.

The infographic might look confusing at first. But if you look closely, there are two black lines, which represent parents, coming from Jon’s image and the two lines lead to Lyanna Stark & Rhaegar Targaryen. The third line, which is blue in colour, comes from Jon’s image and links him to Ned Stark showing that he was the guardian.

We can’t wait for Jon and Daenerys to meet in the next season and kick some serious ass by joining their Targaryen armies!

10 months seems like a really loooooong time. April, come soon!
