Actress-MP Hema Malini says she will restrict her Twitter updates to her Bollywood and dancing activities, a month after she faced flak for sharing pictures from her film shoot amid violence in her constituency, Mathura.
Malini was called “insensitive” by Twitterati after she posted photos from Mumbai shoot of “Ek Thi Rani”, her upcoming film. She later deleted the images and posted a tweet condoling the deaths in the clashes.
Malini, 65, says her political functioning anyway gets media coverage so she would like her Twitter feed to be only about her work as an artist.
She sent out a series of tweets clarifying her stand on her role as an artist and politician.

The veteran actress said she has worked “sincerely” for her constituency and does not need to be told by anyone to do so.

Talking about her Bollywood career, Malini said she is excited about her upcoming Hindi film with Rajkummar Rao.

The movie has been directed by Ramesh Sippy, who has earlier worked with Malini in films like “Sholay” and “Seeta Aur Geeta”.
