If you’ve grown up binge-watching the ever-so-relatable adorable bunch of F.R.I.E.N.D.S, chances are you’ve come across this photograph that has been doing the rounds on the Internet.
Whether you were one of the early birds and watched them in action in the ’90s itself or you caught up with the gang during the constant TV reruns, for us, Joey, Chandler, Monica, Rachel, Ross and Phoebe have always been 20-somethings, caught in a time warp.
If you, in fact, are one of those people who grew up with these six best friends, I’m certain the photograph evoked an emotion akin to ‘Ouch!’.
Basically, it must’ve given you a reality check. That time catches up with even the utopian world of our favourite TV characters.
Joey, Chandler, Monica, Phoebe, Rachel and Ross are who we turn to for comfort, even after a decade has passed since they appeared together on TV for the last time. They have given us the reassurance that at the end of the day, our quirky, funny, crazy friends will have our back. Even after three divorces, even after you’ve peed on them. Theirs is the 20-something life we all crave, and idealize.
F.R.I.E.N.D.S first debuted on TV in the year 1994. 20 years hence, this heartwarming picture of buddies Matthew Perry and Matt LeBlanc kind of puts things in perspective.
While in our heads and hearts, Joey and Chandler are still the awkward, ever-so-adorable, 20-something, pair of jokers, this photograph is proof that age has caught up with them. And it also makes us feel utterly old.
What sorcery is this?

What age are we in? How old am I? How can Chandler and Joey be old men?
