Whoever said true love doesn’t need societal validation didn’t probably know what he was talking about!
Society apparently feels in-charge of every decision we make, more so, they seem to be under the impression that we owe it to them. Be it the profession we want to pursue or the person we want to spend our life with, it just seems to be their business. There are many filters, cast, height, professions, backgrounds and something as silly as age. Yes, age! Like why in the world should someone else stop us from being with someone just because they’re a few or many years elder or younger to us? What has age got to do with anything here?
Such is the society we live in… and these are the people we thrive to please.
Somehow, I’ve come to believe that medieval age is not over yet or this is what is going to end us, humans. The question is, should we bow down to their unreasonable expectations when it comes to love?
On that thought, Zee TV is launching a new show, ‘Aap Ke Aa Jane Se’…
…which is about a couple who do not fit into the utopian mould of an ideal relationship – Vedika is a widow, and way older to Sahil with a 14-year-old daughter in tow. She is calm, mature and a strong, independent single mother. Sahil, on the other hand, is a fun loving and adventurous young man who is 18 years younger to Vedika. The struggles that they go through during this adventurous love ride is what makes this show a must watch. Will society accept them as a couple? Only time will tell…
What’s more, even the Twitterati poured their heart out and showed that they believe in the show’s thought of #NoLicenseToLove.
Here are some of the most interesting tweets of the conversation:
