Swaying away the ‘black lady’ home at the Filmfare Awards is something that celebrities look up to after a year of hard work put in by them. And why shouldn’t they? After all, its one of the most anticipated ceremony in the film industry at the end of the day.

Akshay Kumar is an exception. While he may have lost out on the coveted award time and again, there are times when he is not even considered for a nomination despite critical acclaim received for his role. And in times like these, the Khiladi Kumar wears optimism on his sleeves.

Unlike Mirzya actor Harshvardhan Kapoor who’s miffed with the Filmfare jury for choosing Diljit Dosanjh over him in the Best Debut category, Akshay Kumar was recently seen accepting the bitter truth in a more graceful and generous way.

A Report published by India TV quoted a leading daily saying that Akshay has not shown or given even a slightest of hint of being disappointed over not being nominated for his performance in the critically acclaimed, Airlift. The 49-year old actor also doesn’t have any complaints against the jury. “Maybe I didn’t deserve an award because there were many others who did a better job. Awards are good and because of these reasons I won’t stop believing or questioning awards” said Akshay.

Right after the announcement of the Filmfare nominations, the social media had gone into a frenzy with fans questioning the authenticity of the awards believing that Akshay’s performance deserved to be acknowledged in the ‘Best Actor’ category.

The category had Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor and Shah Rukh Khan for their performance in Dangal, Pink, Sultan, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Udta Punjab and Fan respectively.

We hope he gets his due someday.
