She’s Mayoori Kango — actor of the yesteryear and currently boss lady at Google, India.
You heard that right!
Former actor who did films like Papa Kehte Hain and shows like Kaahin Kissii Roz is now Head of Industry at Google, India.
According to a report by Exchange4Media, Kango was the former Managing Director at Performix.Resultrix — Publicis Groupe and she just joined Google India at the coveted position.
Kango has been instrumental in engaging and retaining accounts such as Uber, Airtel and Nestle.
At the age of 15, Mayoori gave up the opportunity to be a part of IIT Kanpur to pursue her dream of becoming a film star. And her film career came to fruition when she made her debut in National Award-winning film Naseem (1995).
She had a brief stint in the film industry with stalwarts like Anupam Kher, Arshad Warsi, Ajay Devgn, and so on. And she later went on to pursue her MBA — her first steps into the breaking the corporate glass ceiling like a boss.
After taking up top positions in prominent companies, Mayoori has cemented herself as a force to reckon with. And she’s proved she hasn’t merely ‘disappeared’ from the limelight like many would like to believe.
