Barack and Michelle Obama's love story is the kind of modern fairytale you wish would come true for you too. And, on their 27th wedding anniversary, the two just gave another reason for the world to fall in love with their 'love story'.
Both Michelle and Barack Obama posted sweet messages for each other on social media on their anniversary.
Like the Beatles said: It’s getting better all the time. Thanks, babe, for 27 amazing years! pic.twitter.com/mImRqIYn1R— Barack Obama (@BarackObama) October 3, 2019
While Barack Obama quoted the Beatles, Michelle thanked him for delivering on his promise - a 'life full of adventure'.
27 years ago, this guy promised me a life full of adventure. I’d say he’s delivered. Here’s to our next chapter of becoming empty nesters and discovering what’s next—while still feeling the magic that brought us together all those years ago. Happy anniversary, Barack. pic.twitter.com/ZKhvQGEo0B— Michelle Obama (@MichelleObama) October 3, 2019
Whether it's birthdays, anniversaries, or just a random day, the two never waste an opportunity to shower some love on each other.
And their anniversary messages are always adorable and heartfelt.
Thank you @barackobama for 26+ years of love, trust, and respect - for being a man who always lifts up and honors me and our wonderful girls. Each day I’m with you, I’m reminded of what a treasure you truly are to us all. https://t.co/dfgJRMyWJj— Michelle Obama (@MichelleObama) October 3, 2018

You can’t tell it from this photo, but Barack woke up on our wedding day in October, 1992 with a nasty head cold. Somehow, by the time I met him at the altar, it had miraculously disappeared and we ended up dancing almost all night. Twenty five years later, we’re still having fun, while also doing the hard work to build our partnership and support each other as individuals. I can’t imagine going on this wild ride with anybody else.
The Obamas, who have two wonderful daughters, are every bit the ideal power couple, who've literally been each other's pillar of strength and support over the years. Here's hoping they continue to set examples of what a 'relationship of equals' look like.
