Someone’s carelessness can be a reason for another man’s trouble.

That’s what happened with an expat from Sharjah, UAE, who was flooded with calls from unknown numbers since the release of Sacred Games season 2, reports India Today

Kerala native Kunhabdulla CM’s mobile number was shown as Suleiman Isa’s mobile number in Sacred Games season 2, episode 1.

This simple mistake saw a number of people trying out the given digits and ended up calling this man residing in Sharjah.

Speaking to Gulf News, Kunhabdulla explained:

I have been getting incessant calls on my phone for the last three days from India, Pakistan, Nepal, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and around the world. I don’t know what is happening. Hearing my phone ring sends shivers down my spine. I want to cancel my number. I want this problem to go away.

The 37-year-old works for a local oil company in the UAE and has nevers seen a single episode of Netflix’s fantabulous series based on Vikram Chandra’s novel.

He explained saying:

What’s Sacred Games? A video game? I work from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. I don’t have time for such things. I got more than 30 calls (on Sunday) and it’s draining my battery. In the last one hour, I got five calls asking for someone called Isa… Who is Isa? I don’t have anything to do with him.

Although, the scene in episode 1 of Sacred Games season 2 involves an Indian undercover agent handing a chit to Ganesh Gaitonde (Nawazuddin Siddiqui), the subtitles gave away the number to the viewers.

After Gulf News published their report, Netflix followed up by writing to the newspaper. The report said:

We apologise for any inconvenience caused. As soon as we were alerted to the situation, we resolved the issue and removed the phone number from the subtitles.
