Netflix India delivers to our screens Leila, a dystopian drama web television series directed by Deepa Mehta, based on the eponymous 2017 novel by Prayaag Akbar. Starring Huma Qureshi, Rahul Khanna and Siddharth, it follows Shalini who tries to find her missing daughter in a totalitarian regime in near future.

My ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ as review of #Leila, @NetflixIndia‘s most courageous and amazing show, starring @humasqureshi who is undoubtedly amongst India’s finest actors, big fan, @Actor_Siddharth
#Leila review: Provocative and political; Huma Qureshi owns #Netflix India’s most courageous show yet. There is something rather rebellious about this #webseries especially in an age where we can witness, almost on daily basis, the consequences of dissent. https://t.co/Aeu2IpRsKd

I’ve had a few days to think about it, and @NetflixIndia‘s #Leila is, IMO, one of the most courageous and necessary works of fiction I’ve seen recently; thrilling & timely. Can’t wait for the chowkidaars to check it out.

#Leila has the most good looking men in India looking all fine, yet they do not seem to distract you because the reality is much more disturbing in the future https://t.co/iptyGBtoEK

Good fiction is a mirror held up to the world. This one is a giant fucking refection! A bunch of very cool people have made a very disturbingly cool show. Congratulations, Team #Leila! @humasqureshi @IamDeepaMehta #TheWritingRoom #OpenAirFilms pic.twitter.com/zfZfystOHS

Had never thought that I would see babies in cage, but isn’t that what is already happening in US with ICE calling the shots?
Black Mirror always presented a reality that’s in the near future. #Leila is doing exactly that
