Oscars 2018 paid tribute to Bollywood’s veteran actors Sridevi and Shashi Kapoor in its ‘In Memoriam’ segment.

Sridevi passed away at 54 on February 24 this year in Dubai.

While Shashi Kapoor breathed his last on December 4 last year after succumbing to a prolonged illness.

This year, actor Jennifer Garner introduced the segment…

… and Eddie Vedder performed a moving version of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers’ Room at the Top to remember the artists who unfortunately passed away between 2017-2018.
Both the actors have left a legacy that will live on forever. While Sridevi was a pan-India star who left an indelible mark in people’s hearts world over, Shashi Kapoor featured in many global films and will be remembered for his contribution to the world of cinema.
The Indian film industry and fans were touched by the gesture.
