Actor Akshay Kumar met Prime Minister Narendra Modi ahead of the promotional spree for his upcoming film Toilet Ek Prem Katha.
And guess what?
The title of the film brought a smile to PM Modi’s face.
The 45-year-old actor took to twitter on Tuesday afternoon to share his feelings after his meeting with him.

On the lines of Swachch Bharat campaign initiated by the Prime Minister, the film also starring Bhumi Pednekar in the lead role, not only deals with the issue of sanitation but also about the requirement of a toilet in every household to reduce health problems due to open defecation.

Kumar has often shown his keen interest in national issues. And looks like he’s been quite supportive towards the government’s initiatives.

Earlier, the actor dug a pit for building a toilet in Khargone district of Madhya Pradesh. He was accompanied by Union Minister of Panchayati Raj, Rural Development and Drinking Water and Sanitation, Narendra Singh Tomar.

He also proposed Bhart K Veer mobile app , through which people can extend financial support to the families of the soldiers martyred while on duty.
Here’s the video where he came up with the idea of this app:
