I’m scared of watching horror. Be it TV shows, a random clip on YouTube, a movie or a picture for that matter; meri horror dekh ke phatati hai.

There, I said it.

Now having said it, let me also state that I still manage to watch a fair share of horror. The Conjuring, The Exorcist, The Blair Witch Project, The Shining, I’ve seen it all. 

Of course, there were a bunch of people with me at the time of viewing but that’s not the point.

The point is, that even though I’m shit scared of it, I still manage to watch it. But no matter how many Hollywood movies I might’ve watched, the one thing that scares me till date is Zee Horror Show’s theme song. 

Just listen to it once before you judge me.

Did you listen to it? Well, don’t you think there’s something really ominous about it? Like something terribly bad is about to happen? 

And when I say something bad, I don’t mean something bad in a paranormal sense. Just bad in general.

The tune is very minimalist in itself. And it’s less than a minute long. Yet, it gives you more jitters than some full length feature films.

What made the tune scarier was the 3D head that used to pop up as soon as the tune used to start playing.

Yeah, it might look constipated now, but back then, it used to give us nightmares.

What made matters worse was that the show in itself was scary. Yes, most horror movies today have an amazing soundtrack. But that one soundtrack from this TV show was more than enough to counter the effects of all of them.

So many years later, and the tune still resonates in my ear. *Shivers*
