Veteran actress Shabana Azmi is known for her unconventional and bold choices. Years after playing a lesbian character in Deepa Mehta’s Fire, she is all set to be part of Pakistani actor-director Fawzia Mirza’s American production,‘Signature Move’, where she’s expected to be a mother to a lesbian character played by Fawzia herself, reports DNA.
The report further suggests that the film could be an autobiography.
This is how the filmmaker introduces the film on social media :
I’m a lesbian, Muslim, Pakistani, actor, activist, writer, producer, lawyer & creature of passion. #CanYouHearUsNow pic.twitter.com/fzekaMg25X
