Finally, Friday is here. It’s the last day of listening to your boss, clocking in your time, and nodding to the HR, before the glorious weekend awaits you.

And if you’ve had the kind of week that I had, where you have no strength to plan or travel and are just looking forward to your laptop and couch, then here is the perfect binge list for you:

1. The Perfect Date (Netflix)

Have you – like us – been missing the everlasting charm of Noah Centineo? Well, he’s back, and this time, he’s the stand-in date you didn’t know you needed. Also starring Laura Marano and Camila Mendes in lead roles, The Perfect Date can be your ideal weekend date, guaranteed.

2. Laakhon Mein Ek Season 2 (Amazon Prime)

Comedian Biswa Kalyan Rath’s first fiction show, Laakhon Mein Ek is back with season 2. And this time it’s a young doctor’s (Shweta Tripathi) struggle against village amenities (or lack thereof) and government healthcare. The early reviews hint at a show that perfectly marries a dark reality with an entertaining storyline.

3. Our Planet (Netflix)

Netflix’s first nature documentary Our Planet released to rave reviews and made people literally sit up and take notice of what humans have done to the beautiful plant they call home. And if you want to watch gorgeous animals, spectacular nature, and the true condition our blue planet is in, this British documentary is perfect. Especially when accompanied by David Attenborough’s gripping narration.

4. Criminal Justice (Hotstar)

Hotstar original Criminal Justice, starring Vikrant Massey, Pankaj Tripathi, and Jackie Shroff, is an adaptation of the original BBC series – and definitely one of the better adaptations we’ve come across. A murder mystery where a young man gets embroiled in the murder of a woman he’s known for only one night. If you want a little suspense this weekend, it’s the perfect pick!

NDTV

5. Tripling Season 2 (SonyLiv)

The first time Chandan, Chanchal & Chitvan came together, it was a laughter riot that had us hugging and hitting our siblings. And now the trio is back for another adventure – one that you should jump on as well.

Indian Express

6. Made In Heaven (Amazon Prime)

This amazing web series by Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti, on weddings, relationships, and messed-up functions, is the perfect treat for any weekend. And if you’re still waiting to catch the show, (though we can’t figure out a reason why) then get started on it this weekend. And trust us, you’ll end up finishing it this weekend.

7. Delhi Crime (Netflix)

This gritty-cop drama, based on the gruesome 2012 gruesome gangrape case, stars Shefali Shah in the lead role. An edge-of-the-seat thriller, it is by no means an easy show to watch – but one that is extremely important.

Daily Express

8. Hanna (Amazon Prime)

A Prime original series, Hanna is the perfect pick for people looking for a combination of action and drama. Centered around the life of a young girl who is trained by birth to be a super soldier, this eight-episode series is ideal for a weekend of binging.

9. Queer Eye Season 3 (Netflix)

Chances are you’re already aware of one of the finest, warmest, and funniest reality makeover shows and are excited to watch the latest season. But in case you’re unaware (shocked gasps), then here’s a show where a group of five talented queer men transform the lives of selected individuals – and it’s absolutely therapeutic to watch them work their magic.

10. Dating Around (Netflix)

The platform’s first dating show, Dating Around, as the name suggests, is a reality show where a person goes on five different dates with five different people – until they select the person to go on a second off-screen date with. It may be a ‘dated’ concept, but when you’re lounging in your bed with a tub of icecream, it’s the perfect treat.

Grab a few extra bags of popcorn on your way back home and get binging this weekend.
